Overview

Plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our mobile and wireless infrastructure to support clinical operations, administrative functions, and communication systems including ASCOM and Avaya platforms. Complete tasks assigned for Technology team projects when called upon. 

Responsibilities

  1. Administer and support MDM environments, with an emphasis on Workspace ONE (AirWatch) or similar platforms.
  2. Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot handheld devices, smartphones, and tablets across various departments.
  3. Monitor and maintain wireless network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity, ensuring seamless user experiences for voice and data services
  4. Support and troubleshoot communication systems such as ASCOM wireless devices and Avaya telephony platforms.
  5. Collaborate with IT and Telecom teams to integrate mobile technologies into the broader enterprise network infrastructure.
  6. Ensure mobile device compliance with security and privacy policies including HIPAA standards.
  7. Provide tier-2/3 escalation support and documentation for mobile and wireless network incidents.
  8. Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  9. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system outages or emergencies as needed.
  10. Work closely with vendors and service providers to manage cellular plans, wireless equipment, and system upgrades.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of High school diploma or GED required. Associates, technical, or Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience and or industry standard certification may be considered in lieu of degree. Industry standard certification with emphasis on Telephone Systems and Voice Over IP.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience supporting IT or Telecom systems/networks in a user environment of 500+ users.
  3. Proven experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools—Workspace ONE / AirWatch experience is strongly preferred.
  4. Familiarity with ASCOM and Avaya phone systems is a plus.
  5. Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues across mobile platforms.
  6. Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment.
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make formal presentations required. 
  9. Exhibits interpersonal skills and abilities to deal effectively with all levels of personnel.
  10. Availability to work on site in Tuscaloosa Al area required.
