Plans, coordinates and directs quality, compassionate care by maintaining standards of professional nursing practice and creating positive therapeutic relationships with patients/families. Provides leadership to other team members by articulating and delegating expected standards of care, supervising and encouraging team members, and supporting their contributions. Supervises LPNs, PCAs, PCAs/US, US, Ortho Techs and other non-licensed staff.
Current Alabama RN license required. 2 years of RN experience required with at least one (1) year RN experience in Acute Care, Critical Care, Emergency Department, Maternal Child, or Behavioral Health. Current Certifications/Licenses listed below are required for their respective areas:
Acute Care: American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS HealthCare Provider
Critical Care: American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS HealthCare Provider, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Behavioral Health: American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS HealthCare Provider
Emergency Department: American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS HealthCare Provider, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required. Preferred: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Maternal Child:
Obstetrics: American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS HealthCare Provider,
Well Baby Nursery (WBN): American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS HealthCare Provider, AHA Neonatal Resusucitation (NRP),
Labor and Delivery: American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS HealthCare Provider, AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training required within the first 6-12 months of employment. AHA Neonatal Resusucitation Program (NRP) training required within the first 6-12 months of employment.
Pediatrics: American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS HealthCare Provider, AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training required within the frist 6-12 months of employment.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): American Heart Association (AHA) approved BLS HealthCare Provider, AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required within the first 6-12 months of employment. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
