Overview

Utilize several different styles of machines/tools to maintain/sustain the different surfaces in Fayette Medical Center. Follow established policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout Fayette Medical Center.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Request and receive housekeeping supplies and equipment from supply room and prepare cleaning solutions according to policies and procedures.
  2. Clean equipment daily; ensuring that all items are returned in an orderly manner.
  3. Maintain all assigned areas in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
  4. Respond to emergency calls or request for housekeeping services.
  5. Gather refuse from various locations and transports to appropriate locations, i.e. incinerator, compactor, following established sanitation procedures. To include cleaning waste receptacles.
  6. Furniture transporting for assigned areas.
  7. Replenishes supplies such as: paper towels, soap, toilet tissue, etc; as needed.
  8. Ensures safe clean attractive environment for patient, residents, staff and family members at all times.
  9. Ability to operate machines to complete floor striping and scrubbing.
  10. Ability to perform floor scrubbing, striping and refinishing.

  • Maintains performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation.
  • Performs compliance requirements as outlined in the Employee Handbook
  • Must adhere to the DCH Behavioral Standards including creating positive relationships with patients/families, coworkers, colleagues and with self.
  • Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet.
  • Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Able to comprehend, follow both, verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to understand, follow both, training and in-service education. No previous experience required
