Overview

The multimedia specialist incorporates technology such as graphic design, photography acquisition and production, video acquisition and production and the management of digital message boards to promote DCH and its services to employees and the community. The multimedia specialist completes additional projects, as assigned, and works collaboratively with others in the department to produce needed materials.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Designs, edits and integrates digital content, graphics, photography, illustrations, and other multimedia visualization and imaging products.
  1. Attends events and captures desired content based on identified needs.
  2. Develops and manages a process for regularly capturing and updating high-quality portraits of board members, organizational leaders, physicians and others as identified.
  1. Maintains and keeps secure the audio, video and photography equipment.
  2. Supports content authors to ensure multimedia products reflect overall mission and brand standards.
  1. Works to be an expert in the consistent implementation and enforcement of tone and look regarding the organization’s brand and logo.
  1. Assists in the monitoring and implementation of branded materials such as stationery and signage.
  2. Demonstrates creativity, attention to detail and the ability to set and meet tight deadlines.
  3. Regular, consistent and punctual attendance including the flexibility to work nights and weekends, and variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Qualifications

Two or more years of related experience. A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, advertising, business administration, communications, journalism, public relations or a related field is required. The candidate must be able to show examples of prior successful implementation of design, project management, consultative, analytical thinking, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated writing, editing and proofreading skills, creativity, resourcefulness and ability to work on multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines and functioning in an environment of changing priorities. The person must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Expertise is required in Adobe design products including Premiere Pro (or Final Cut Pro), Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat Pro. This person will likely be required to use an Apple computer for the desired design work and must be familiar and comfortable with Apple operating systems. Employee must maintain personal automobile liability insurance, and employee must be and remain insurable according to the standards that are established by DCH’s insurer, as they exist at any time. Must be able to read, write legibly, speak and comprehend English.

  • Requirements:
    • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
  • Must be able to perform the duties with reasonable accommodation.
  • Hearing and vision must be normal or corrected to within normal range.
  • Physical presence onsite is essential.
