Overview

Assist gift shop assistant-manager in daily operations.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare open and closing money counts and deposits.
  2. Ring up sales and accept payment for purchases, assist customers in locating and selecting merchandise, and wrap gifts if requested.
  3. Display merchandise as requested by Gift Shop Manager.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and appearance of shop at all times.
  5. Maintain performance, patient and employee satisfaction and financial standards as outlined in the performance evaluation.
  6. Receive, stock, and manage merchandise.
  7. Organize and maintain merchandise bunkers.

  • Requires use of electronic mail, time and attendance software, learning management software and intranet.
  • Must adhere to all DCH Health System policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent. Knowledge of retail business and cash register, and bank card reader.  Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.

Comes in contact with others, coordinates and leads others, deals with external customers, uses electronic mail and telephone, participate in face to face discussions.  Physical presence onsite is essential.  Hearing and vision must be normal or corrected to within normal range.  Employee must be able to perform the duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

 

PHYSICAL FACTORS

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work Must be able to meet the following: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than eligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.. NOTE: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible. Comes in contact with others, deals with external customers, uses telephone participates in face to face discussions, works with groups or team, responsible for outcomes and results.  Physical presence onsite is essential.  Hearing and vision must be normal or corrected to within normal range.  Must be able to perform the duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
