Overview

The Budget and Reporting Analyst primarily supports the mission of the DCH Health System by updating, maintaining and developing financial and statistical information. The Budget and Reporting Analyst proficiently uses financial data systems to produce standard and custom reports to support financial decisions throughout the DCH Health System. The analyst is responsible for maintaining financial systems within the finance department. 

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in maintaining and reporting on all Finance systems including but not limited to Budget, Productivity, Strategic Planning and financial workbooks. 
  2. Performs financial analysis and prepares dashboards in the management reporting system. 
  3. Attends value analysis meetings and other meetings as required.
  4. Assists in preparation of the DCH Health System Budget.
  5. Assists in preparation of the DCH strategic planning system. 
  6. Works on special projects as assigned.
  7. Completes trend analysis on performance data.
  8. Holds monthly operating reviews for department leaders to identify financial opportunities to provide to senior leadership. 
  9. Prepares and reconciles balance sheet and journal entries. 
  10. Provides as a back up to the payroll system.
  11. Provides information for financial tracking dashboards and ensures data integrity.
  12. Assist in preparing Productivity Reporting.
  13. Collect data and prepares PowerPoint presentations as requested by the Director of Finance. 
  14. Maintain the doctime system and determine opportunities for efficiencies. 
  15. Serves as a technical backup for AP Automation. 
  16. Responsible for testing and validating upgrades to all financial systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a major in accounting or equivalent required.

Two to four years of accounting/finance and information systems experience preferred.

Strong excel skills required.  Crystal report writing experience preferred. 

Must be able to read, write legibly, speak, and comprehend English.
