The Staff Accountant is responsible for the timely, accurate and consistent preparation and review of accounting work papers and financial analysis. The Staff Accountant will remain current with all GAAP and GASB requirements while assisting the Director of Finance with compliance. Key functions of the staff accountant will include regulatory accounting entries, special government reporting requirements, and general ledger reconciliations.

The Technical Specialist works in conjunction with the Supervisor for each shift within the department to achieve section specific goals and responsibilities. The Technical Specialist does not perform in a supervisory capacity, except where/when specifically delegated. The roles and responsibilities of the Technical Specialist are an extension of those delegated to the Supervisor.

The Total Rewards Director is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, worker's compensation, life insurance, travel and accident plan, flexible spending plan, retirement plans, etc.). This position provides excellent customer service and designs quality benefits plans. The director continually investigates new benefits programs, improves existing programs, and supervises and monitors benefits administration.

Patient transport will provide compassionate care and support while transporting patients in a safe, comfortable, courteous and efficient manner by wheelchair, bed or stretcher throughout the Medical Center. Patient transport may assist with the activities occurring in the office and the patient discharge area when needed. Assists staff in patient care.

The Trauma and Stroke Coordinator functions as the unit-based role coordinates, developments, and promotes optimal patient care delivery in the trauma care system including but not limited to prehospital, rehabilitative, and preventative care. Organizes, participates, and directs performance improvement as it relates to the continuum of care for trauma and stroke patients. Works in collaboration with other health care providers and serves as a consultant in trauma care. Prepares and develops the patient care standards in accordance with the American College of Surgeons guidelines, The Joint Commission Guidelines and the State of Alabama guidelines.
